“Not one day is the same, that motivates me and keep me motivated”

“Looking at the cranes and gangways of KenzFigee, you see a product that makes you proud! All products are one-of-a-kind and tailor-made according to customers’ requirements”, says Henk Gils, Service Engineer at KenzFigee.

ALL ELEMENTS OF TECHNOLOGY ARE PART OF THE JOB
“When I started at KenzFigee I have never worked on high tech big cranes. The job of a Service Engineer entails that all this technology has to be maintained, modified, repaired and even failures have to be solved on site. I started in the workshop to get familiar with all the terms and technology. Everyone was very helpful and soon I got the knowledge needed about hydraulics, electronics, PLCs, main hoists, luffing, aops, mops, gops, and much more….

The function of Service Engineer at KenzFigee is very varied. It includes all elements of technology, but you also have to provide training, recommendations and modifications. I like the variety of the job, and also not knowing where I will be next month.

A JOB THAT MATTERS
As we serve international customers, I fly around the world to do my work. I love to travel and come to places you will not find on a holiday site. Working with our customers, operators, other cultures, meeting different people and making a big crane great again, is actually what makes this a job that matters! You become the eyes and ears of the company. You know what’s happening and what the wishes of the customer are. Ultimately, a satisfied customer is what counts.

The only thing I sometimes miss is working closely with colleagues and the team spirit I experienced in the workshop. Whenever there is an opportunity, I assist the colleagues in the workshop which also helps me stay informed of new technics and developments.”
